Research Re-Submission AI Tutorial

The Tutorial Topic that i chose to do this time around was to do with AI behaviour

The tutorial is about AI and their behaviour. Allowing the AI to be interactive engrosses the users and shows that crysis is just not something used for gamers but also for designers.

This particular tutorial is divided into two parts for both beginners and intermidiate. This tutorial will be of help to those who are just starting out with Crysis and wanting to learn about flowgraphs.

Making the AI interactive is something the users would want to learn and most importantly what i wanted to learn to do. As my knowledge prior to making the tutorial was nil, this gave me the opportunity to learn from scratch and the concept of Flowgraphs and the Ai behaviour. The AI control in the first half of the video tutorial will be showing viewers how to make an AI walk to a tag point, which shows and controls where the AI will be walking to. The second half of the tutorial shows not only an individual AI but two AI's entering the vehicle.

From researching video tutorials on the internet, the tutorials have allowed me to evaluate what a good tutorial is and what a not so good one is. For the tutorial that i have created, my form of communication has been through the captions and the step points. I had initially thought i would use audio, my own voice but that doesnt allow you to pace it out and also some viewers would prefer to pause and to read instructions. All viewers have different ways of learning and grasping concepts, just out of preference i thought that i would communicate it best. And bearing in mind sometimes not everyone has access to audio.

To create these interactive scenes, my tutorial will focus on a few different flowgraph nodes as well as using tagpoints. From making the tutorial i learnt that it was vital to have your basic undertanding thorough before jumping to something that didnt make sense. From the basics, then you are able to go above and beyond if you are daring and patient enough.
